Miami University offers both Early Decision and Early Action for freshman admissions.

The Early Decision (ED) deadline for Fall 2022 admission is November 1.

All ED1 applications should receive an admissions decision by December 15. Last year, Miami of Ohio admitted 537 of the 620 applicants who applied early decision. The acceptance rate was 86.61%.

The Early Action (EA) deadline for Fall 2022 admission at Miami of Ohio is November 1.

My son received an email today with this info:
An admission decision will be posted on your Applicant Status Page on Wednesday, December 15, at 12 a.m. EST.

Daughter just admitted! Received an e-mail about 7:30pm EST to check portal. We stopped to talked to her right after the varsity bball game she was cheering ended. She as nervous and made us wait as she logged in. Confetti! Congrats to everyone who receives good news tonight and hang in there if you are still waiting!
Stats: Applied 10/15, in-state, College of Arts and Sciences as a Data Science/Statistics major. Rank: 1st in class but VERY SMALL grade (32 kids total), ACT 29, UW GPA 4.0, a few AP and CCP classes, some service and volunteer work, NHS. Also noteworthy: some merit money in the acceptance e-mail and she attended the Summer Scholars program back in July.

For S22 the merit amount was included in the admission letter on the portal (but was not in the email).
