I am from NY. I was wondering what connections the FSB has in NYC and throughout the northeast. What are the benefits of attending Miami university instead of a school in the northeast like Bentley or Bryant.

You might want to ask this question over at the Miami, OH forum, OP.

Actually I’m glad this was posted here, where it will get more visibility. It is a question about college search and selection, so it fits.

@chardo do you have any insight on this topic?

^ no, but I’m also interested in the answers.

It’s a lot cheaper, for one.

Offers a much more well-rounded old style college experience.

Did you both attend the school? @Hanna @barrons

No, visited campus and know several alumni. Classic college environment. It is very popular in Chicago burbs. Tends to slightly more conservative and upper middle-class.

I am still curious what the connections are that graduates have from the northeast region

No – same as Barrons. I’ve advised several admits in the past.

I believe it would be easier to get merit aid at Miami(OH) as well.

Seems like a strange question, though. I imagine that the schools in the Northeast would have more ties in the Northeast. Miami(OH) does seem to have quite a few ties to Chicagoland (as well as Cincy, obviously).
