Miami vs. Uconn vs. Oregon State

Hey guys, which school do you think i should decide on? I plan to major in accounting and they all have decent programs the only question is who has a better reputation in the field, and which school should i finaly pick?

The rankings that seem to have the most credibility for undergraduate accountancy programs would be the Public Accounting Report Professor’s Survey. Miami U has been in the top 25 for many years. The last I saw, U Conn was on the cusp, and Oregon State was not on the list. Having graduated from Miami’s Farmer School of Business, albeit in a different major, I can tell you that the Miami accountancy program is very well regarded, very rigorous, and the most prestigious of all Miami business majors. Plus, the brand-new state-of-the-art business school building opens next year. Even though I’m biased as a Miami grad, I feel very comfortable giving Miami the nod amongst the three. I suppose the question you’ll need to ask yourself is where you plan to move after graduation. In particular, if it’s anywhere from DC west to KS/MN, I think a Miami accountancy degree will provide you with significantly more leverage than the other two. Regardless, the Miami accountancy program is known nationwide.
