illustration, with a creative writing minor

Carassemh, Pratt would be perfect for you: They have illustration and creative writing as well, and you will be geting a lot of scholarship money.

Actually, even with the 3,000 extra scholarship money from Pratt they are still more expensive for me than MICA. I wasn't aware that they also had the creative writing minor though. That's one of the things that drew me to MICA in the first place.

At any rate, the financial aid dept. at MICA will get back to me by the middle of next week in regards to my appeal. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

................

Okay I got my call back from MICA today! They were able to give me an extra $1,000/year grant and $1,650/year work study. With holding down a summer job, I'll hardly have to take out any loans! I'm super excited.

Yeah so I would advise anyone, no matter what school, to appeal if they think they can prove they need/deserve it. You never know, and the worst they can say is no! :)

Hi I realize that this was a while ago but I am currently applying for MICA’s scholasrships. How did all of you get such substantial academic scholarships?? i have good grades and such but none of the awards listed. is there any advice you can give me as to how i can write the best statement. If anyone has any info about the other scholarships that would be helpful too:) has anyone talked to someone who got a full ride/ know how they did it?
