That is pretty big news for any major college football fan. Two of the top 5 football programs in the nation will have new coaches walking the sidelines this fall. I cannot wait to see what happens.

Now we just need for OSU to voluntarily vacate victories like Michigan did with the Fab 5 fiasco. Of course, that will never happen! I hope the NCAA comes down hard on the Buckeyes.

All i can say to this is: GO BLUE!

The least we can do is recommend some folks who could replace Tressel at TOSU:

Lou Holtz (former OSU assistant, could multi-task by also teaching irrigation-by-saliva in the ag school)

Art Schlichter (Vegas’s choice)

J. Alexander (would spruce up the Buckeyes’ uniforms and get the swagger back in their strut)

Matt Millen

drumroll, please

RichRod!

Rich Rod would make sense. As far as tOSU is concerned, he is 3-0 vs Michigan afterall! ;)

They’ll lose some wins.

Go back to being 0-9 vs the SEC. Maybe one or two less wins against us

I would not wish an incompetent glorified offensive coordinator to even my worst enemy.

Rich Rod was a square peg in a round hole but he was not a crook.

I agree that Rich Rod was no crook. This said, no Big 10 program is going to recruit him either because he completely disregards the Defensive side of the game, something Big 10 schools pride themselves on.

If you give Rich Rod a strong DC (like Mattison) or you just make him OC, you’ll be good.

MLDWoody, Rich Rod will not work with a strong DC. He insists on a 3-3-5 defensive scheme. He will REFUSE any other defensive scheme. He may be an ideal coach in the WAC or MAC conference, but he cannot play with the big boys.

I ain’t starting this argument with you again Alexandre…

…instead here is a [funny GIF](http://i1235.■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■/albums/ff423/themonarch12/tressel_oprah.gif)

Here’s the Sports Illustrated article that expedited the Vest’s departure. [Sports Illustrated investigation on Jim Tressel, Ohio State - SI.com - Magazine](http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/magazine/05/30/jim.tressel/)

To me, the 2 most irritating things in the article are (1) Tressel’s rigging of a football camp raffle so potential recruits would win, and (2)the predominant sentiment among the players that they were just exploited kids from poor backgrounds doing what was best for their families…many people will sympathize with (2) without asking how the heck tattoos and marijuana help out Mama back home.

The NCAA needs to really examine the whole culture of winning at all costs at tOSU as it appears to have corrupted a once proud athletic department. In my opinion, the entire Tressel era is tainted. To those who say it’s sour grapes that a Michigan fan wants OSU to vacate it’s wins, sobeit. OSU has a huge natural advantage of being in a state with a strong football culture and great players year in and year out. I guess that wasn’t enough for some OSU boosters. It’s too bad it’s ending like this for JT but I have to be honest, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving fan base.
