I'll pay you $5 never to step foot on Michigan's campus.

a2wolves stop getting angry for no reason.

If you knew the history of maguo's posts about the university, and then calls the basketball program unimportant, then you would know where I am coming from.

yea i guess ur right, lol sorry for getting frustrated. btw i read some of maguo's old posts, kinda funny but dang

maguo, you should take the 5 dollar offer from this man. This is the only way you will gain anything from your umich acceptance letter.

Did I ever say that the UM bball program was unimportant?
This is not the only college I disparage. You should read my posts on Cornell.
And, I'm still waiting on money from UM.
Oh, and A2Wolves, I hope we get assigned to the same dorm or something. That would be great!

Nobody actually reads these "unimportant" threads intently.

Thread title = Michigan Basketball

And I hope that we do get in the same dorm, because that means i'm in at Michigan.

Then I can show you all the "great areas" of Ann Arbor i've experienced the past 18 years.

At this point in time, don't expect to get anything from Michigan. You were admitted pretty early and those scholarships have probably already been passed out.

I really do hope that you get accepted to U of M, A2Wolves. And thanks dsmo for boosting my confidence. Again, no scholarship means I'm not going to UM.

Back to the original tropic, Michigan basketball! A2Wolves, I think at this stage. 8-9 seed is probably the worst Michigan will do...assuming we finish the season on a 3-5 run and lose in the early rounds of the Big 10 tournament. But if we finish with a 6-2 run and do well in the Big 10 tourmanent, I can see Michigan get a 4 or 5 seed. Either way, the odds of Michigan winning anything this season are remote, but no matter what, we have made big strides in the right direction.

We've already won big this season. First place in the big ten (the best conference in basketball) is something special even if it is only for a few weeks. The huge win over moo U was great. A win in the NCAA tourney will be amazing. Just one first round win, which is likely as we will probably be about a 5 seed playing an 11 seed, would cap a great season. I don't need to see anything more than that.

Big Ten best conference in bball? No way. As much as I love the Big Ten, the Big East is by far the best conference in bball.
In the Big East, we have as many as 12 of the 16 teams making the tourney: Notre Dame, UConn, St. Johns, Seton Hall, Syracuse, West Virginia, Louisville, Villanova, Pitt, Cincy, Marquette, and Gtown. On the other hand the Big Ten only has 7 of its eleven teams: Iowa, Illini, Michigan, MSU, Indiana, OSU and Wisconsin.

And go Penn State for beating Illinois at Illinois. And haha UM for losing to Iowa (you'll kill me for this)!

who are you and why are you here?

The big ten has the highest RPI of any conference, has more teams ranked than any other conference this week (6), and has the best record in play against the other big 6 conferences.

Let me remind you that the ACC was 7-2 during this year's ACC-Big ten challenge; and the ACC isn't even that good. The only games the B10 won were Illinois against WF and Wisconsin over MD.

Go Penn State!!!

Are you thinking of maybe the 2004 ACC/Big Ten challenge, maguo? This year, the ACC only won 6-5 in the challenge. Big Ten wins included Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan State, Iowa, and, oh yeah, MICHIGAN. It was a 21-point win as well.

Oh, my bad. But the Big Ten failed to beat the ACC, which is really weak this year. Big East is still better. Just listen to the premier bball expert, Dick Vitale.

Go Penn State!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

As for the best football stadium (nice repeated used of the word 'stadia' Alex) every fan is going to say that theirs is the best, but they are all wrong except OSU fans, case closed.

As for basketball, OSU is going to own Michigan for the next decade. Thad Matta is the best recruiter in the nation (save Coach K) and his teams will dominate assuming minimal guys go pro. So that makes two sports (the only two college sports that matter IMHO) that the Buckeyes will DOMINATE UMich in.

maguo, you're missing a word-

you mean "go TO Penn State." Take some of the happy out of Happy Valley and leave us alone.

joev, win every game for the next 20 years, then the series will be tied. Until then 57-39-6. ouch

Hence my use of the term WILL dominate, and not me saying DOMINATED.
