@rymmik what the heck??! What are they doing instead of scoring them?
Considering North Carolina took the writing portion I’m sure Michigan scores will be in soon too
Seriously 8 weeks is just too much
Just called and the guy said IL tests are being scored and should be expected April 1st ish
It won’t take 8 weeks, I’ll assure everyone of that
I like how scores from national test, which many more people take, come back in 2 weeks. But scores from few states takes forever. Makes no sense (act logic).
The delay probably has something to do with the schools that administer the test. I know that my son’s school is not usually a test site so I’m not sure how familiar any of the counselore are with packaging the test etc. Multiply that by the six high schools in my county that gave the test most of which don’t usually give the test. Plus I know at my son’s school the counsellors took care of filling out the registration only asking the students where they wanted their scores sent so I’m sure that would delay his results being linked to his online profile.
I also have one other question. I’ve heard another parent say that some colleges won’t take the score of this ACT because they only take scores from national or international testing dates. Has anybody else heard this?
No that’s wrong
From what I heard at my school, your testing site is SUPPOSED to send your scores the day you take it. Maybe because of the weather we experienced those weeks, it might be delayed?
@futbolfather I have an older son in his first year at University of Virginia SEAS. He applied to nine schools, got into seven, waitlisted at two. The schools he applied to were: UVa, NCState, UPenn, Penn State, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, U of Kentucky, Clemson, U South Carolina. All of them accepted the March ACT/writing State exam. And all the schools superscored the ACT except Vanderbilt. That means that they will consider the highest scores in each subject in each sitting. For example my eldest son’s first ACT national: 34C 33E 31M 35R 35S, second ACT state: 32C 34E 33M 31R, 30S. When he submitted both sets of scores, all the schools except vanderbilt (they don’t superscore) superscored and considered his scores as: 34C 34E 33M 35R 35S. The point being that colleges not only accept the state test they consider it equal to the national. It is possible that there are some that dont but I have not heard of any such school.
Any one have any news? People at my school (in Michigan) are saying that the test will be posted online tomorrow
How are they supporting this?
I did a live chat with an ACT agent yesterday who said the next round of scores would be released Friday (tomorrow). However, I just spoke with a different agent who said no more test scores will be released this week. I don’t know what the truth is but I’m remaining optimistic that Michigan scores and all other states who tested on the 3rd will see their scores beginning tomorrow.
Frankly I don’t think anyone knows when the scores will be out, including the ACT “agents”. I guess you just have to check every Wednesday and Friday to see if they are posted… And check our mailbox everyday
Nahhhhh, I’ll continue checking every 2 hours
more like every 2 minutes
I called and a lady told me that she was told the tests would be graded within 4 weeks, and they gave it another 2 weeks for the scores to reach everyone in the mail = 6 weeks. She said some states released their results earlier than others, but everyone’s tests should be scored by next Tuesday at the latest (and in your mailboxes a couple days later).
I guess next Tuesday isnt THAT much longer, still sucks though
So no new scores will be posted today?
