Ok, didn’t expect this but daughter got admitted to USC with invite for full tuition scholarship. Anyone with pros and cons of Michigan engineering over Vertibi.
Michigan has stronger engineering programs, but I would rather save $200k.
I’d take Michigan over USC at full cost, but definitely USC with full tuition over Michigan.
Will Michigan be OOS full cost vs USC completely free? If so, I agree with the others, unless you have the means to pay for Michigan without any difficulty or hardship, in which case, you may choose Michigan. But if Michigan also offers scholarship money, and the difference in the CoA is reasonable and easily manageable to your family, then it really depends on what you feel is best for your daughter. Michigan may be slightly better in engineering, but USC is certainly good as well.
USC and Michigan are fairly well matched on most fronts, although one could definitely make a case for Michigan. With a full tuition scholarship, though, I’d chose USC.
