I am getting really excited about the Fall Football Schedule. With Michigan, Pitt and MSU losing today, and with nobody from the SEC or Big 12 on the calendar, it looks as though the Irish will have only one top 25 game (USC) this year. It is very possible that with a little luck against SC, the Irish could run the table.

Yeah but with this schedule we could run the table and freaking still not make the BCS championship game. I mean if it were not for the Notre Dame clause in the BCS, I would say we could run the table and still be out of a BCS bowl game lol. That is of course if Michigan, MSU and PITT all continue to have pretty bad seasons.

Running the table and being out of any BCS bowl game is nearly impossible now given the major conferences and their use of the championship game and the fact that there are now five bowl games (read: Boise State, Hawaii, Utah a while back destroying Pitt...)

Before we get ahead of ourselves...let's try and win a game first. I know everyone has incredible expectations, but remember that we lost most of the talent we had and, even though we have dominant recruiting classes, they still are freshman! Give them a little time to be rookies, ha.

It is a little disconcerting, though, that the offense in the big scrimmage a week ago could muster out ONLY two field goals the entire game. Let's just hope Jimmy Clausen was sand-bagging it!

8 wins would be solid...and give us a better chance of winning a mediocre bowl game. I don't know what's worse, getting shredded in another BCS bowl (when we really don't have much business being there) and furthering our historic bowl losing streak, or finally winning something like the GMAC Bowl! We gotta start somewhere...GO IRISH!

Cal Poly beat SDSU...so we should start off 1-0 easily.
