the battle of 0-2 teams: ND at Michigan 9/15

No Chad Henne, but Mike Hart has guaranteed a win. What does everyone think? I can see this one being closer, but I also cant see Michigan losing 3 in a row at home. We also dont run the spread offense, which has made them look so bad. If we dont get this one, we have to take the next 2 to have a chance at reaching bowl eligibility.

my prediction: Michigan 24 Notre Dame 20

O, how the mighty have fallen.

I believe Pretty Boy will have a good game and pull one out for the Irish.

um......

The game wont be pretty. Lots of turnovers, lots of penalties. The game will come down to special teams.

12-10 Irish

It's a form of rooting for Michigan to predict a win for them, Chris. We all know that rooting for Michigan is wrong, wrong, wrong. Oh, and did you read the Observer? There was a column in there explaining why we'll win. I believe it. Why don't you believe it Chris?

He is cautiously realistic.

And so am I.

haha I will certainly be rooting for us in the game. I think I would put money (if I had any left after last week) on us to cover the 7.5 points, but I am just not very confident right now. I think we have a good shot at beating MSU next week though. We will get better as the season goes along and have 3 chances to pull off huge upsets against probably undefeated teams (at UCLA, BC, USC). Currently I am hoping for 6-6, maybe we can break our bowl losing streak this year at least. We will be contending nationally in 2 years at most.

guys this ain't lookin good

Time to do the laundry! It is less painful....

This is really painful.

Im sitting here in my Jimmy C jersey, Nd headband,,,,,,,,,, and Im feeling slightly embarrassed.

2nd half comeback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.... maybe not

No, second half lets try not to continue to embarrass ourselves.

what's the score? the game isn't on TV....

38-0. Guess who won.

Ummm...Michigan? The game was on TV, Mombot, but if you missed it, that is a blessing...

haha ya seriously

It was on ABC....

hail to the victors valiant hail to the conquering heroes hail hail to michigan the leaders and best hail to the victors valiant hail to the conquering heroes hail hail to michigan the champions of the west

congrats notre dame on your negative rushing yards.

ND>>Michigan. OSU>>Michigan. Ann Arbor is a skank. You won for today, but we'll be back for vengeance.

I agree. Ann Arbor could be the grungiest, ugliest, most nauseating city/campus ever.

But, you did beat us. So go celebrate your mediocrity.

I urge you all to go to the Athletics section of the www.nd.edu website, and catch Charlie Weis' interview with the press. The guy is class. The team and the program will come back...

A little adversity builds character... I have a hunch, by the time all is said and done, this team is going to have plenty of it...

As for the U of Michigan fans. When a team that was ranked #5 in the nation going into the season finally manages to beat a completely rebuilding, non-ranked team on its own turf after two humiliating losses, I don't think I'd be doing too much gloating.

As for the U of Michigan coaches, Charlie said some good things in his press conference. He felt they handled it all with class.

I will find out soon from my son what type of experience he had road-tripping to Ann Arbor this weekend. Have a hunch he came back quickly...

To those Wolverine-lovers who want to jump onto this site to rub in how much the Irish suck, the thrill must be out of a little bit when we all agree with you...

...For now...
