<p>One more question... My friend wants to study dentistry at UofM for his graduate study... Will going to UofM undergraduate affect his graduate admission at UofM in any positive way?</p>
<p>Michigan is generally considered top 15 but not top 10 in Biology and top 25 but not top 15 in Chemistry. However, there haven't been rankings for the sciences since 2001 and with the recent push for the life sciences, it is likely that Michigan is going to improve in the rankings. At any rate, Michigan is very good in the sciences.</p>
<p>As for your friend's chances at the Dental school, I would say that attending Michigan as an undergrad helps a student when applying to its professional graduate programs (including Dental program), but not when applying to the traditional disciplines (PhD programs in the Social Sciences, Humanities and Sciences).</p>
