Michigan Selectivity

@blackpen–
hehe that’s a good one.
so true.

Stats from Collegeboard
Johns Hopkins GPA 53% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
Carnegie Mellon 45% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
Princeton U 81% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
Upenn 72% had h.s. GPA of 3.75 and higher
Uchicago 66% in GPA of 3.75 of graduating class
NU 85% in top 10th of graduating class

SO do you mean to say that Hopkins students are dumb…CMU students are dumb …Chicago Students are dumb, 20% of Princeton is DUmb.!!!..GOsh You just have your priorities mixed…92% of students have 10 % of the their class…UMich beats out some of the Ivies… I suggest you shut up and show us some respect…Coz my brother got a 2250…4.0 and got rejected at UMich accept at UPenn and Brown…and still regrets having not gotten into UMich…

Actually, this should be 89% according to CollegeBoard.com…

Erm… sorry but this seems unlikely unless there was some other reason. Even if he was out of state, he should have been accepted.

Not really romangypsyeyes, I have seen such students get rejected by Michigan myself.

Close this thread Alexandre. I know you can do it!

Yes, it is a rather pointless thread. Michigan is obviously very selective and its students are very gifted. The USNWR, which is openly anti-public university, ranks Michigan among the 20 or so most selective universities in the nation, at a similar level as Chicago and Johns Hopkins. As you would expect on CC, there is always going to be bickering over non-existant little details.
