Michigan State 78 - Duke 68

I did not know where else to go to express my utter remorse for this disappointing upset. As a future Blue Devil (ED acceptance), my whole body feels in a state of disarray. I can only imagine the type of disappointment I will feel next year actually on the campus and being a part of the university. I noticed many of the posters fear that Duke relies too heavily on sports. Well... I hope it does. I have played various sports my whole life (tennis, cross country, football, basketball) and the truth is... Sports Rule! Girls Drool! Just kidding about the second part, it rhymes. They emphasize unity and comradery and I hate to see people downsizing athletics and their importance. Duke’s sport’s program is what separates it from other top schools. Oops, I did not mean to go off on a sports rant there. I am just in a sore mood after watching Duke play a very ugly game and lose to a lesser Michigan State team. But do not cry fellow Blue Devils, we have an excellent recruiting class coming in next year from what I hear. So with that, I am off to my room to cry into my pillow and dream about what coulda been had Sheldon Williams’ dunk counted. Until next year, great season Blue Devils. This topic is in remembrance of your greatness despite having one of our weaker teams of current years. Long Live Duke Basketball.

Diddy out

Sheldon Williams dunk so should have counted. He also shouldn't have gotten one of those fouls he got...in my humble, girlish opinion. Don't you love how the announcers were like "That was definitely a point...definitely went below the rim" and as soon as the refs called it they were like "that was a good call...that shouldn't have been a point."

Anyway...next year will be great. Great season this year. At the beginning we weren't even supposed to make it this far.

Well I happen to love humble, girlish opinions, ecspecially those relating to sports. I really could use someone to talk to right now, I am just filled with so much disappointment. I know we really overachieved this year and Coach K should receive his due credit, but I am just one of those kids that doesnt settle for anything short of first place. I am just really looking forward to next year and going to the games. Hopefully I will see you there.

Perhaps...hopefully...provided March 30th goes well...

I have no idea what your credentials are, but if you are home on a friday night to watch the game like me, then i think you should be accepted.

I was sort of happy actually because I had Syracuse beating Duke in that game, and a lot of people in my pool of 30+ had Duke winning it all. Although I'm waiting for a decision from Duke, I still have to look out for the bottom line- I'm now in the driver's seat as I have 40 more Potential Points Remaining than my nearest competitor- who is currently 40 real points down on me.

Did you guys fill out brackets on ESPN?

My Final Four- Illinois, Carolina, Louisville, Syracuse
Illinois over Carolina in the title game (much love to the Big 10 from a Minnesota boy)

Yeah my Espn was way off. My final four was Duke, UNC, Wake, and Arizona

Did you see JJ Reddick get dunked on? Hahahaha, Looked like that boy ate some kneecap when that other dude flew over him! :)

Dont kid yourself Diddy - cross country isnt a sport!

jk - those xc'ers are all nuts!

It was an awesome season and there was a lot of excitement on campus all year. ACC Champs, 2 and 3 in the national rankings, 8th consec. Sweet 16...not too bad for an off-year. Can't wait till next year. Got a great shot at the 4th national title.
