my profile is kinda weird.. going into senior year i have a 2.55 (my school doesnt weigh) and a 2080 on the sats.
im definitly gonna work hard and my grades substantially improved the last semester of the my junior year so im gonna dig in and get all As.

however still that would only probaly change my gpa to a 2.65 or so so given that, what do you think my chances at msu are

To be honest, you have a slim to 0 chance to get in. The average GPA at MSU is 3.6. Even if your school doesn’t weigh, a 2.55 is not good enough. The only time someone with a 2.55 GPA would get in at MSU is if there were extreme extenuating circumstances-your SAT score is good, but it won’t save you considering the GPA is the most important factor of your application. I’d suggest to go to community college/another school in Michigan and then apply to transfer in if you really want to attend MSU.
