I have a 3.2 average. I take dual enrollment courses. I've been in college prep since the 9th grade. I have a 20 on the ACT and I do a lot of activities.

Not that good, to be honest. Your GPA and ACT are both in the bottom 25% of admitted students. Apply early for your best chance. What is your courseload like? Rank? Have you tried the SAT? Some do a lot better on one than the other.

You might want to look at CMU, WMU or Oakland. 3.2 and a 20 is low at a lot of good schools.

Yeah ik unfortunately, I’m tge true definition of an average teenager…i do all my homework, I played a sport, im in the green club, debate team, world language club, volunteer work, yearbook club, and religion club, I also work part time…i know I may not be a prospective student, but I believe I deserve a chance. most of the people in my school with good grades are only focused on grades, and not other stuff. I heavy a rigorus course load also.

maw, that doesn’t really change things. Your stats are still very low. Most competitive students are able to do those things and still get good grades and a good ACT.

You can apply, and I wish you luck, but your odds are low.

I got in @romangypsyeyes

Congrats :)

Hey! I got into Msu with a 3.3 gpa and 22 on ACT so keep hope however I have generations of legacy and I am out of state with great recs, essays and extra circular activities… Keep hope @maw2wire859

I had a 2.8 GPA with a 29 on the ACT, didn’t take the SAT or any AP classes (I went to a prep school where all the classes were unofficially AP-level). No sports, but I did Quiz Bowl for three years and was a student council member for a year and I was accepted. Good luck!

i was accepted, i just registered for orientation

Congrats maw2wire, it sounds like MSU admissions is a little bit different than I thought…

I just applied as an international freshman. Don’t currently have SAT scores, I’m about to write thought. G.P.A is 82 out of 100 and rank is 1 out of 12?we are not really much in my school. What are my chances of getting accepted.

Gotta be patient in waiting
