So, I read on another thread in this forum that there is a cutoff GPA at UofM.
It was mentioned that when they first get your application that if you do not meet a certain minimum GPA that your application is thrown out immediately.
Is this true? If so, what is the cutoff?
My other GPA question; does UofM calculate freshman GPA into their recalculated GPA? I heard somewhere that they do NOT, but if anyone can verify, that’d be awesome.
They don’t have a cutoff GPA and they supposedly do use freshmen gpa
If you do not answer the question regarding extraordinary circumstances, I’m pretty sure there secretly are cutoffs for GPA and test scores. However, those are below their averages. In general, you can expect that if your GPA is less than 3.6, you’re pretty much out of luck unless there were extraordinary circumstances to back it up.
Freshman GPA counts, but they will consider your GPA trend.
3.6 unweighted is probably a good starting point. But anecdotally that feels dicey to me based on the last couple years in the absence of really high ACT scores or SAT scores and even then you better hope your high school doesn’t have grade inflation.
75% of enrolled are 3.75 or above
Well, I’m SOL… Thanks for your responses guys!
