Is microbiology a good major? I know for almost all science degrees you would need at least a masters degree but is microbiology a good major to pick if I'm planning on getting a masters later on?

No any iteration of Biology and Chemistry are bad. Microbiology you will again probably end up in a lab testing for E. Coli, Salmonella or some other pathogen over and over again for $15 per hour temp no benefits. Microbiology + Comp Science would be a lot better.

Also skip grad school in the sciences. The real purpose of grad school in the sciences now a days is to provide cheap labor for academic labs and classrooms. It is a total pyramid scheme.
