<p>I was just wondering, how strict is Cornell with having microwaves in rooms, besides the ones rented by the school? Will they fine you? Cuz I bought one freshman year for my other school (I'm a transfer), and kinda don't wanna give it up..</p>
<p>you cant have a microwave unless you rent the microwave/fridge. and i dont think you have to give it up...just leave it at home</p>

<p>Depending on your building, the circuit breaker might trip before your microwave actually gets going. I know using a hair dryer for 5-10 seconds would trip the breaker in Dickson.</p>
<p>^Yeah...I wouldn't recommend bringing it to your dorm room. Like Kyt, I also tripped my breaker with my hair dryer. I always had to go to the bathroom to dry my hair.</p>
<p>If you move off campus at some point and you aren't provided with a microwave...you can certainly bring it then.</p>
