Hey guys,

I'm a lower (10th grade) at Phillips Exeter Academy. Our GPA is out of 11 (where an A is an 11, an A- is a 10, a B+ is a 9, so on...). Last term I made a 10.6 (3 A's and 2 A-'s), and this term, with a heavier course load, a 9.6 (3 B+'s, an A, and an A-)...

But here's the real problem: EC's. Just browsing the forums, I see how everyone here has amazing extracurriculars -- stuff like volunteer work, innovative clubs, writing books...but right now, I'm only really in Debate Club and Model U.N. Although I've done well in tournaments in Debate Club (and made AIME...), I'm not really that exceptional.

What do colleges look for? Now that I'm in the middle of my high school career, what is my "best move" to make myself attractive to colleges? What should I do in terms of extracurriculars?

Sorry for the long post, but I really need your guys' help!
