Mid-Term Grades

Received a envelope from USMMA today, addressed to the parents of my plebe. Opened and had a heart attack ;o Academic probation 1.94, but wait, he is not taking Chemestry! Looking closer wrong person's grades in the envelope. At least it got my heart going.

Hope someone was happy when they got ours!

oh geez, I think I would have had a heart attack.

We received our plebes grades as well. He claims that the chemistry mid term grade was not included in his grade. Is that possible?

Steve! I almost had a heart attack when I read your post!!! Glad it was the wrong grades :D Feel sorry for the other parents, but I'm sure you are happy!

I tutor plebes in chemistry and they took the mid-term test friday, so it would not be included. The kids I tutored felt pretty good about it.

Also, don't worry too much about mid-terms. It will be an eye opener to your son/daughter. It was for me. 4.0 in high school with a 2.4 at the first midterm. Finished with a 3.1 after catching up in 4 weeks worth of work. So don't fret too much over the mid-term grades. A firm kick in the rear will help.

Thanks for the insight KPrower. He is working very hard now. We appreciate your response and tutoring!

KPRower is MMA's version of Zach Ogden over at CGA...good kids both. :)

Also: I felt like 1st Tri Plebe was the hardest b/c of everything else going on. Not the classes. Every tri since I have improved my GPA until last trimester when I did not put forth an effort in Math for Engineers 2 and got a D which dampened the GPA. But again I will tell y'all: don't worry at this point, but keep pushing them and make sure they are doing what they are supposed to do. Like kp2001 said in the physics and calculus thread, DO THE HOMEWORK and it will greatly improved the grades.
