New subject

Hey I just wanted to start a new thread since USCGA's forum has caught up with us...

I really don't have anything new to add to the underwear discussion, so feel free to add a new topic...

Strange that our friends have just dropped their kids at their civilian colleges last week-end and our USMMA kids are getting ready for mid-terms...........Cross your fingers that they will prevail with atleast a C! If mine gets anywhere near B's on a few, I'm sending him those brownies!

He'll do fine. Hang in there.

LFWB....Gee, i hope your right. As I wrote before, my son claims that it will be hard to get a 3.0 (and told me to forget about a 3.5 or better!). So, I continue to pray in earnest.

Jamz... I know, its pretty hard to believe that mid-term exams are almost here!!!!!!!! UGH!

Prayerful Mom

Yeah, its tough. My son got an 85 on his calc mid-term and said that was the second highest score in the class and that the highest was a 90.

He's the one on the left

Alnashar,

There is a lot of very helpful information in this thread. Good luck. Cooper Union is an outstanding arch school.

LFWB...your son is a cutie!

Here's a PIC of mine demonstrating his new found skill...

I know what I'll have him do when he's home on break!!! LOL!!!

I just spoke with my son, he told me he had a calc. test but doesn't know the results yet. I didn't think it was his mid-term??!!

LFBW & Prayerfulmom- I don't get it. You guys have normal healthy sweet looking children. Whats up with mine? The t-shirt over the head thing makes me wonder if he's missing teeth or a nose... LOL :) All I see are those big blue eyes! Atleast none of our kids were wearing the grass skirt & coconut bra. Now that kid is a real hoot. Aren't all those photos great!

Got that precious phone call today and mine sounded so upbeat and good. He's really looking forward to parent's week-end though. I think just to get that little break away really. Just to see the outside world. Mid-terms aren't just yet. But over the next few weeks they'll be cramming for them. I'm going to send a lot of goodies in the next few boxes for study sessions. The last box was full of that crazy under armour and M&M's. Life is good huh!?

Have your kids been out and about on the Kings Pointer yet? Mine is very excited about going around the end of Sept. One of his friends went yesterday. No pleasure cruise as they have classes aboard but WOW what a break away from the ordinary.

Parents,

I am in the same company as Billings and Walodzko. Sorry if I can't spell the last one correctly, I am sure you are used to it. I live two doors to the right from Billings and sail on the same boat as Sean (Nimbus). You have good kids, I am glad I go to school with great men like them. For all the parents, Thanks for all your cooking and support durning indoc, big help. Midterms don't start until wk. 7 of school, one week before parents come here for acceptance day.

Leadin,

Thanks,

LFWB Dad

LEADIN'! What a surprise! Welcome back! I'd posted a few days ago about not seeing any of the guys/gals that hung out here before reporting in. So good to see you're alive & well! Promise to stay and keep us up to date on whats going on. Please! How are you holding up so far? We hear everyone is pretty tired. I also hear that 4th co is awesome. You guys have it going on as to the regimental stuff. My kid says ya'll look so sharp everytime he sees you out and about. I do hear from USMMA09 from time to time. He's in your company.

Hey, I finally scrounged up a few more parents! I was so lonely all by myself when ya'll left. HA! I hope you're doing so well and I wish you the best of luck with mid-terms coming up. I feel sure that you have been watching out for everyone. I'm waving my little flag & clapping for you! Stay well!

Sorry 'bout the confusion with the Calc mid term thing. LFWB told me last night he referred to it as the mid term because they were going to have two tests and a final in calc and that the professor said that the first test would count for the mid-term.

Parents,

Yeah, I will try to keep coming in here. Only 3 more school weeks till Acceptance Day! USMMA09 lives next door to LFWB Dad's son and me, we see each other every couple of hours. Get excited because we are already starting to practice the parade marching. Temporary freedom from Vickery Gate is in sight.

Noooooo! Don't look at it as 3 weeks! You're messing up my count down. Its more like 19 days, 10 hours, 14 minutes and 23 seconds! Can't wait to bust ya'll outta there! I also CAN'T WAIT to see all of you march onto the field. Sweet! Tell USMMA09 he needs to smile more. From his photo, he looks like an axe murderer! LOL

haha thanks for the advice....we are all counting down the days until we can leave the "reservation" for the first time
REPRESENT 4th CO!!!!

I've never been so thankful that KP is so far north! Pray Pray Pray for all those involved in the Hurricane ...........

Roger that

17 more days guys! Can you just not hardly stand it?! I'm gonna wear my shades cause all that white will be blinding! I'm taking nothing but film!

Wanted to add: All is well Prayerfulmom & 8kidsmom? You guys haven't piped in lately. Hope all is well with ya'll.

Hi All,

I have just been really busy with the kids -- Getting lessons ready (homeschool) and booking my husbands radio show and helping out with organizing with the Rotary on hurricane relief.

Has anyone heard about any 04 KP Grads (4-5 had jobs in New Orleans) shore side -- anyone heard if they all got out -- I really don't want to hear bad news.

Jaquie is on her way back to Japan. Hope to hear from her by the end of Sept when she gets back state side. Then she is off to Japan again and then to the east coast.

I check in daily.
