Well parents, I need a little praise, as my parents are not understanding the importance of these grades :( - They never went to college, so don't realize how much effort and cramming it took!

Just got my mid-term grades back from Stony Brook:

Sociology: B+
World Politics: A-
Moral Reasoning: A
Human Biology: A
Sociology of Human Reproduction: A

Projected GPA = 3.8

Woohoo!

Just wanted to thank all of those who helped me this summer with the whole "dual enrollment" process (choosing classes, getting admin support, etc.)

It seems to have payed off nicely for me, and I am delighted!

Just read an article about Harvard admissions in the Gazette - apparently only 70% of accepted students ranked in the top 10% of their class. That leaves plenty of room for me!

Great news ilcapo! I bet your parents are proud of you, even if you think they don't understand the significance of your grades. Keep up the great work! :)

Sybbie - it's quite funny with the "sending off" because I have been done with my Princeton app for over 2 weeks, but I am too scared to send it in case I might have a last minute change to an essay or what not.

Plus, I'm still kicking around which essays to use and all that.
