For the Mid-Year Grade Report, if I'm applying Early Action, does my school need to send this form in twice for a four quarter based system; once after the first term and again after the second term? Or does my school only need to send it in once after the second quarter?

No, you can just send the form after your second quarter grades are in. The mid-year report isn't needed for EA admission, just for making sure you're still performing on track once you've been admitted.

Mollie- does this mean that the mid-year grade report has no bearing on EA admissions?

That's correct. Most EA applicants don't have mid-year grades available by the time decisions are released.

EA applicants who are deferred to RD will need to send the mid-year report, and it will be used for admissions, but EA applicants who are accepted in December just need to send it to verify that they're keeping up their grades.

but if they get the grades before the decisions come out, will it go into your file as a part of your application and will you be evaluated based on your senior performance?

I would imagine so, but the grades would have to get there pretty soon -- if the report arrived in early December while selection is occurring, for example, I don't think anybody would get a chance to look at it.

hmm... well my term ends in 2 weeks, so I guess that means I still have to work hard for a little longer ;)
juuust kidding, I plan on working hard till the end...
