Do students who have already been accepted need to send in their semester grades? Thanks
@hailtopitt1787 .
Can you help ? Thanks
Hi!
Thanks for tagging us, we usually only respond to posts we are tagged on. No, you do not need to send semester grades unless they are requested by our Admissions Committee. Congrats on being admitted!

@hailtopitt1787 thank you for response. My son’s school is telling students to send their grades. This makes things easier ?
oops forgot to tag the Pitt rep
@hailtopitt1787 Hi, my son also was asked to send his semester grades and they just became official and submitted last Friday (2/8). How long does it usually take for admissions to make their decision after the grades are submitted?
Hi @mothra454,
Due to the high volume of applications at this time of the year, along with students submitting mid-year grades, admission decisions are taking anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. After students send in their mid-year grades, they typically have to be reviewed by the Admissions Committee again. I know this wait can cause anxiety for some, but please try to be patient as our representatives are working hard to get decisions out as quickly and thoroughly as possible.
I hope this helps and good luck!

So do you mean that it could take an additional 4-8 weeks AFTER the mid-year grades are submitted?

@mothra454 that is correct. It could be sooner but not guaranteed.
@hailtopitt1787 my daughter submitted mid year grades last week. Just got an email that they are still missing. She emailed admissions about this problem. Is there anything else she should do?
Hi @RedRoxy2000,
No, there is nothing else you need to do. It appears that an e-mail may have gone out in error to some students that had already sent us their grades. We apologize for the confusion, you may ignore that e-mail. Your daughter’s application should be in the queue for review and you can expect to hear from us soon.
Good luck and sorry about the confusion!
