For those of you who got deferred ( like me =/ ), how are the grades you're sending? I have 4 C's, a B and an A lol, but how bout yall?

dude i wouldn’t send those lol unless you got the bad deferral letter and have to.

APineiro, even if you somehow get accepted (which you probably won’t if your past grades are like your current ones), you will most likely get rescinded with grades like those.

Anyways, DO NOT send U of M those grades unless you have to.

I do not know my grades yet, I guess I will find out by next week.
I agree with others, its probably not the best ideal to send those grades unless you have to for evaluation… but as Yosup said to be on the safe side… if you were accepted ( or good deferrel) you still may want to send those grades in case of a rescind.

lolz yea i have to. i got the bad deferral letter, but these are how my grades have always been

hmm i got the “good” deferral so i don’t have to send in my midyear grades. These are my midyear grades, do you guys thing I should send them?
B-regular class
B-AP class
B-AP class
A-AP class
A-honors class
B-honors class

they look good to me lol. send em

Loly, your grades aren’t great either. Unless that’s an improvement from before, I wouldn’t send those.

Considering the fact that the average UW GPA for admitted students is ~3.8, anything below a 3.5 would probably put you out of the running (unless you go to an extremely rigorous school), and your GPA, loly, is a 3.33…So, yea, don’t send those unless you must.

i’ve already sent in some other materials, so i’m on the fence about sending them in. someone said that the deferral letter i got (the “good” one) means that i’m already academically qualified for UM, the admissions committee just doesn’t know if i deserve the spot or someone else who’s academically qualified as well. sooooo i probably shouldn’t send them in then LOL.

UofMichigan2013, 4 Cs are not a rescinding grade! you’re being way too harsh.

His Unweighted GPA would be 2.5…that’s enough to rescind his admission (and effectively kill his chances at getting in)

lol w/e i aint upset. i did what i could, my schedule wasn’t a walk in the park… i could still be a gopher/Hoosier/badger/boiler/spartan/fightin illini/ or lion =P

I would send them in, but since you have the good deferrel letter you do not have to.

I got the bad deferrel letter and apparently will not get my likely rejection until I send them my 7th semester grades. Compared to LolyGAGHa grades being interpreted as bad I myself can expect the ultimate reject letter. ouch

No, don’t listen to coolbrezze. Do not send those grades in. You shouldn’t take my advice either, go ask your guidance counselor what he thinks because he’s ultimately the only one who can adequately interpret your grades in the context of your school.

I didn’t type " yes, send them", I stated I would but you ( to who I was replying to in the post) do not have to do such with a good deferrel letter.

I got the good deferral letter too. should I send my grades if I have a C and mainly Bs? It is a regression of GPA compared to my past grades but most of my classes are AP this year as opposed to the past.

I’m assuming I shouldn’t even though my course load is far more rigorous. But if I don’t send in grades then what should I do? I mean I don’t want to pacifly sit here and wait for a decision. Regardless if I got the good letter or not I want to make sure I make all the effort possible.

^ No, don’t send em…I guess there’s nothing else you can do since you messed up senior year. Colleges don’t like downward trends.

I really find the 3.8 average interesting (and from the kids I’ve met, it’s been true, they’ve all had ~3.8). From our school the average GPA is ~3.5, it’s just kinda weird, lol.

I thought the average GPA of an admit from my school was 3.5, but it’s even lower, apparently…

Question: do seniors not have to send in grades even if they’ve been accepted (as in the final grades for the year)? So won’t they see your grades anyway?
