Mid-Year report, IDOC & Stats!

I applied to Stanford RD and I have a few concerns plaguing my mind. Well, due to dire family circumstances I received 2 B's during the course of my 1 semester (Straight A student before this period). So, I am very concerned if this will drastically effect my application when I submit my mid-year report. Should I have my Principal or GC write out an explanation of my circumstances?

In addition, I'm not quite sure what to do with respect to the IDOC. As of now, is it too late to submit? Being the first in my family to go to college, I am not completely familiar with this process; however, I did submit my CSS PROFILE and FASFA on time.

Also, my third and finally question is regarding Stanford's policy on SAT's. Do they look at the student's highest overall sitting or do they select a student's best scores from each section from different testing dates?

Furthermore the following is a list of my other stats; feel free to comment on them if you wish.....

[My grades started to fall significantly due to dire family situations beyond my control, which evidently lead to this SNAFU in my GPA. I hope College Officials will be understanding...and see it as an anomally because I'm pretty much a straight "A" student. Any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated.]

Anyone????

Any documentation would help - your slight drop may be misconstrued as senior slumping. But don't worry about it too much. Such consistent work on your part through the years certainly speaks greatly of your ethics.

If you don't get in, I don't think it would be solely because of your grades.

I believe Stanford does take the best sectional SAT score from different sittings and combines them when they read your app.

Bump, Bump, Bump....(you know the song)
