Mid-year report = important to AU?

<p>How important is the Mid-Year report to the AU adcom? :confused: I must admit that my first trimester grades [which are mailed out] for senior year are not stellar at all. </p>

<p>My counselor [who I am very close with and wrote my guidance counselor recommendation] is an alum who keeps in touch with the adcom at AU. Will that help in any way? </p>

<p>Other than my first trimester grades for senior year, I feel that I’m a pretty solid student for this school. I’m just worried because I haven’t gotten one of those e-mails yet!</p>

<p>I think New Jersey just hasn't heard yet (points to self).</p>

<p>:/ One of my closest friends [who applied to American after I did] got an e-mail yesterday. She's from NJ - same school, same counselor. So, I'm really not sure if the snail mail or e-mails have anything to do with location or when you applied.</p>

<p>An adcom at AU told me that midyears are VERY important if u've done poorly in previous years.</p>
