As for mid-year reports go, Ben (from his blog) said that "a few weeks from now (Jan 24) might be too late"

My EPGY class is to be finished by the end of february, and I was hoping to finish it a couple of weeks before that. Should I just send the transcript now (which will indicate "incomplete" for the EPGY course, which would otherwise have been Pass or Fail b/c it is a transfer course) and send an email to the admissions office telling them that the course will end in a couple of weeks time?

My school's paying for it, so I'm guessing it's done through the school. But b/c it's CD and individual-based, I can (and do) do it at home. It is listed in my transcript tho, but w/o a grade as of now

If I am taking an EPGY course independently and won't be able to get a transcript until late-February, should I just inform all my colleges that my class is not complete yet and put that note with my mid-year grades for my high school classes?

ramsfan: I'm in the exact same situation and that's what I'm doing... I doubt one grade is worth holding back however many other grades (10 in my case) for a month.

That sounds reasonable. However, I'll warn you - EPGY can take three to four weeks to send out transcripts. Also, be sure to order a copy for yourself at the same time so you can check it for accuracy. We found an error on my son's. They omitted a course.

Oh wow. Ok that settles it, i'll be sending mine w/o EPGY's confirmation of ending the course on my transcript. I don't think it's required of you to send in an official transcript from EPGY, or is it? I wanted to finish my EPGY course so my counselor could put "PASS" on it on my HS transcript. It's currently a "incomplete".
Sending in a simple letter will do, i think. i hope. I hope MIT won't be suspicious that I'm slacking off / not gonna finish the course...
