Mid-Year Report

Does wustl want the mid-year report for commonapp and an updated transcript as well?

yes they do

By "updated transcript", do you mean we have to send another transcript? Or will the changes just be noted on the mid-year report?

Yes. Essentially, your midyear report IS an updated transcript.

Yes- they sent me 2 reminders through the mail, in true WUStL fashion.

hey sorry, but i'm still really confused.

do we have to specifically MAIL IN the mid-year report? because when i received the notice in the mail it seemed as though we had to do that.

or can we just send it through the commonapp site like other schools?

thanks!

once accepted does wash U require you to keep your grades up to some standard?

Probably to some degree, I'd say you're going to be alright with a C, maybe 2. If any D's start showing up, you could start off on academic probation. Not 100% sure about this though.

They are probably fine with anything but C or below! That's what I've heard at a lot of schools.....

ha, if you are getting a C in high school... good luck maintaining anything over a C at Wash U. even though its 2nd sem senior year, there's really no excuse to be getting any slip in your grades.

So, do if I've already submitted the common app mid-year report, do I still need to mail in my updated transcript? They're essentially the same thing, but some colleges require both. Is wash U one of them?

I have the same question of Dante. My GC already submitted all my midyear reports via common app.

On my Wash U Status page

It looks something like this:

"Your senior mid-year transcript is a required supporting document and should be sent as soon as it is available. If the box below is not checked, please send the transcript as soon as it is available after the marking period so we may add it to your file. (We realize senior mid-year grades are available only after the end of your first term. Please send them immediately after they are available.)
As of 02/21/2009 we have processed:

( X ) - Senior mid-year transcript"

I've forgotten if that's the check mark. Because (_) means that they don't have it and a "X" would mean that they do right? Sorry that I'm very confused here, if someone could just fill me in. I feel so paranoid about my applications; God forbid I mess up something like this.

I was just wondering, how important are the senior mid-year reports? My junior grades...well they weren't the best, but I improved quite a bit for senior year 1st sem. I wonder if this will help me? ... maybe even a little bit? T^T

yes, they do have it. don't worry about it (:
they just received mine too. i sent it in about 3 weeks ago, but i guess they just processed it.

Thanks erika, I can rest in peace now :)
