Mid-years, final grade reporting...

So, I was just accepted ED to Johns Hopkins, and having talked to a couple of my fellow CC-ED-admits, I am curious as to how low my mid years can be without getting my admissions rescinded. I was a B+ student throughout high school, so for someone like me and for someone who has all A’s, what is an acceptable dip?

bump...bump

You really should not operate from the perspective of what is the minimum amount of work I can do and not have my admissions rescinded. First of all it may come back and bite you on the butt. Remember your admission is conditional based on your maintianing the same level of performance which your were admitted - this means mid year reports and yor final transcript. Our concept of what you can get by with may be totally different from what the school believes you can get away with .

If yor grades got you into a specific program at JHu, a slide in grades may make you no longer eligible.

If you have any kind of merit money in your financial aid package, you may risk losing that because a 3.7 is not a 3.75.

College is definitely not high school, so if you have good study work habits (like doing the reading instead of skimming just to find the answer), it is best to hold on to them because it will pay off big when you get to college.

Im sorry if i sounded as if my intention was to slack off...that isnt the case at all, i am just curious. The week or so around the decision day could potentially impact my grades so i was worried it might reflect negatively. I talked to my GC and some of my teachers however and it looks as if its not going to be a problem, my grades may even improve. T'was a bit of post-acceptance neuroses, but thank you for your response!
