Middle College to Community College

Hello I’m a senior currently enrolled at my high school’s middle college program where I get to take college classes at my local community college as a high school student. I may or may not be enrolling in community college next year, and I wanted to find out whether or not the college classes I’ve taken during my middle college class will transfer to my community college gpa/ transcript. Will I be given the choice to transfer or not to transfer? I’m asking because I’m not doing incredibly well in one of my college classes right now, and so if I were to go to community college next year I would want to make sure that I would be starting with a clean slate; i.e., no grades/ courses on my community college transcript.

All community college classes and grades (including those taken through the middle college program) will remain on your transcript. You don’t have a choice and there is no starting with a clean slate with college classes and transcripts. . If you get a bad grade you can take the class over. Both classes will show on your transcript but the higher grade will count on your gpa.

All your grades will follow you.
If you’re just starting the semester and doing poorly in a class, drop it. There won’t be a penalty for that.
If you end up with a grade you want to ‘make up’, retake the exact same class (same number, same college etc) to 'repair’the grade.
What’s your middle college GPA?
