I am applying to competitive LACs and universities for transfer (EE/physics). Right now I am in the process of collecting my midterm grades. I have a GPA of 3.83 before this semester. From the midterm grades, I am getting mostly A/A- but with a B in German language. I know I can improve significantly after the next (first) midterm. While this is not the only B I have got in my college career, I am afraid that it might hurt my chances. Some of the colleges said that midterm grades are not required, but encouraged. Given that I am a Junior, is it beneficial to turn in my midterm grades for those schools?

bump, anybody?

It greatly depends on what school you are coming from

I am from a “Top 50 LAC” majoring in ECE. My current grades are from a english university in Europe as a part of a study abroad program.

I would turn in the midterm report just because many schools require it…however they do not care that much about it so don’t worry…just get it in.
