Midwest Schools good for Computers?

Hey everybody,

I'm looking to study something along the lines of Computer/Systems Security, Networking, or Computer Programming. Does anyone know of any universities in the midwest that have a well known computer's field? So far I know of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and University of Illinois Champaign. Please and thank you!

White, Male
First Generation
ACT: 23 (looking to improve to 26-29)
Junior in High school
Top 1/2 of Class Rank
3.00 Cumulative GPA and a 3.35 GPA this year (Junior)
Illinois Citizen

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has good computer engineering programs, but you might not get in with those stats. It's located in a tiny hamlet in the Indiana cornfields, if you care.

Purdue University is a huge public school in Indiana with strong engineering and applied sciences programs. It isn't quite as competetive to get into as some others but is still very well known.

Illinois Citizen eh? I did not realize the Illinois handed out passports. Hehe!

Seriously, check out the the major state universities, such as:

Illinois Institute of Technology
Indiana University-Bloomington
Michigan State University
Ohio State University
Purdue University-West Lafayette
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities
University of Missouri-Columbia

UIUC and Wisconsin would be out of reach unless you can really improve your ACT.

I'd also suggest Missouri University of Science and Technology. From what I've seen of their CS department website, it appears that many of their faculty specialize in cybersecurity issues.

Lol Alexandre, goodone!

Anyways, I'll be sure to check these schools out. Purdue looks interesting. Thanks everyone!
