I know we have to submit midyear grades. Is it enough to send midyear grades or do our counselors need to send some type of report? thanks

Your counselors have to update your transcript via the Common App.

Correct- it’s not a report it’s simply an updating of your grades for the first semester of senior year Some do it electronically, and some send it via regular mail. Every high school has their own method and NYU will accept it as long as it’s there essentially on time they also realize different school systems are on different calendars. Ours was one of the later ones and so my child sent them an email letting them know when to expect it and that was fine with them

Thanks… if it is only grades my school lets students send transcripts electronically. I do not want to deal with Naviance, the Common appl or bug my counselor.

Yeah don’t worry - it’s something for your counselor/school to worry about. You don’t have to give it another thought.

Just to be clear- it has to be sent from your school/counselor, not you, but they know to do it at midyear. You should not have to do anything other than making sure they know where you applied

My high school uses a company called parchment to send transcripts. My school does not send transcripts for us. I just really want to avoid anything that has to do with the common app if possible. My school used Naviance for the first time this year and applying to colleges was an absolute disaster. Naviance + Common App= disaster
