So does anyone actually know what goes on a Midyear report? Grades from each quarter? Or just the overall semester grade? Also is your GPA from the end of last school year used or is it the current GPA after the first semester of this school year?
Your HS decides how the midyear report looks visually. So you need to ask your GC the question. All the college cares about are your semester grades.
Are you required to send Mid-year reports to all common app colleges even if you were already admitted early action?
The college makes its own rules, which it will state on the website and, probably, in the acceptance letter. Usually, but not always, a student accepted ED/EA only needs to have the final transcript sent in, but check.
Are the semester grades just the average grade after the first two quarters of the school year?
