midyear report?

I understand that we need to send a midyear report, but I can't seem to find a link to it on the website now that the application is closed. Is there a way I can get to this?

its on the commonapp website, isnt it?

EDIT: oops totally forgot that columbia has a seperate app

its on the left sidebar under "downloadable forms"

which site?

sign in on https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=COL-U

just wondering
if i give it in in early march, when my term 2 grades are out, will it be too late???

yes it will. think of it like this.

Decisions are mailed out all 20,000 of them on March 31st. Thus it would take two weeks to prepare everything. So sending it at march likely be too late.

When is the last day we can send Mid Year Reports without having them be too late?

yeah i was gonna ask the same thing...
it says no later than feb 1 or as soon as grades are available..so they can be sent like tomorrow if needed?

no later than Feb. 1st? ***........ my school only had grades entered last Wednesday of last week. LOL I'm screwed.

LOL you're screwed at life if you don't know what a conjunction called "or" means.

Columbia2002, you're not thinking generally...

I took the top sentence to mean the deadline is Feb. 2nd, but you should send it as early as possible. (meaning before feb. 2nd)

well it says to send it when 1st semester grades are available, or 2nd term (if you are on a three-terms system)... and that wont be until early march for me.

"LOL you're screwed at life if you don't know what a conjunction called "or" means."

I disagree. Remember, we've had a president already who needed the word "is" defined for him. I would argue that the verb "to be" is far more important to the English language than the word "or". I think it's possible that Cali could have a great future in politics. Far from being "screwed", he may one day be screwing you.

Or you could try being less of a dick.

So if our grades are not available yet, what do we do? Are we screwed?!

um...i'm going to try to have them before the end of February? I mean, yikes, I don't get grades until the end of the week...

i'd just call them up, explain the situation and ask

for mailing the midyear report, which Columbia address do i use? 1130 amsterdam ave?

also, is the return address on my envelope supposed to be that of my high school? (sorry, i haven't used mail for any of my colleges this year since Naviance and Common app took over and made everything online.)

Jeez, what's so difficult about Feb 1st OR when your grades are available. There's no need to call and explain anything. Your high school isn't possibly the only one what doesn't release grades on Feb 1; think outside the box. Columbia realizes this, or they wouldn't have explicitly recognized that you might not have your grades by Feb 1 in writing the policy.

It's okay to have it in by the end of February right? My grades are not available yet either and things take a while in guidance...I mean every school is different...
