Midyear transcripts?

Hey, did you guys send midyear transcripts?! My school counselor is telling everyone that applied to UF to send them now.. but I'm not sure if it will do anything?

AHH 9 days!! I'm freaking out!

UF doesnt require Mid-Year Reports.

My school send them automatically to all of our schools that were sent transcripts earlier, and UF got it AND just registered it on the admission status page. It just arrived today though, so I doubt it impacted my admission, if I get in at all. It did raise my GPA though, so the report can only be a good thing.

I was wondering the same thing. So...they actually consider the mid-yeasr reports!? I mean, if it ups your GPA and so forth, that can help you with the admissions process?

I'm thinking if they didn't REQUIRE it...it shouldn't make a difference. Not really. Unless you are on the border of being accepted/rejected. And even then, if they did not require it, it does't make sense to me, personally, for them to consider it. It's not fair for others who are on the border who didn't send it because they thought it wasn't supposed to be sent in. Wow. If that didn't confuse you... Not trying to bash those who sent in mid-year reports either. I don't blame anyone who did so. :P

I don't think your new gpa will help since they didn't look at senior year grades to begin with. But you never know. I guess it can't hurt! lol

lol Yeah I sent it electronically today for the heck of it, even though I don't see how they would change anyone's decision at this point. oh well.

Yeah. That's true, better safe than sorry. I called yesterday and checked. They said they don't even look at them. Period.

They looked at my first term grades....

Had to hold my app till i sent them
(3yr GraD)

Well this year is different. They sais they're not looking.

I'm sure it would matter later though if you're waitlisted.

Are they still waitlisting this year even though there's not early decision?

Doesn't every school waitlist? There's a difference between being deferred and waitlisted. Because there is only one decision date this year, students can only be waitlisted. Basically, it's to fill up the very last empty spots at the last minute and very few students on the list at many colleges actually end up getting in, but you never know unless you try.

Yeah, I asked about that as well...for students who weren't admitted on the 15th... They said they would ask for material if they needed after that. So mid-term transcripts don't help with decisions now.

I don't think anyone knows what they're doing this year. This year is different than any other year. We will find out soon though.

i sent 'em.
