<p>Currently enrolled in John Jay and decided to pick up on an engineering major. Right now my top choices right now are University at Buffalo, Stony Brook University, and Binghamton (though people tend to tell me engineers are generally recruited from UB and SBU). I want to pursue a major in Computer Engineering, and generally the list is Stony Brook University >= University at Buffalo > Binghamton.</p>

<p>What I really wanna know how is the campus life in SBU? I read some pretty bad reviews about the campus life and I'm wondering if things have changed? I'm pretty much a city boy...</p>

<p>Well it’s located in a suburban area, but you can always take the train to the city, which is located right on campus. As for campus life, 1/3rd of the school leaves on the weekends; however, there many students in the school, so 2/3rds is still a lot. Plenty of fraternities/sororities and many parties. Many clubs for all interests. Great school for computer engineering.</p>

<p>Do transfer students have to fill out the supplemental application?</p>

<p>No, the supplement is not required for transfer students. In fact, we don’t read it even if you do submit it, so don’t worry about it.</p>
