Milton Academy

who's applying?
I just had my interview today.

I hope it went well, msu!

:l i dont like you clz

ur mean wah.

shush :) see you tomorrow

hehe.

YOUR MEAN.

I'm applying to Milton. I had my interview over the summer holidays.

Did you like it?

MILTON IS ONLY ACCEPTING 10 JUNIORS THIS YEAR.
if you're interested.

I liked it a lot. The large day student population is a bit of a drawback, but I would be happy to go there. Ten juniors is quite few. I'm glad I'm applying for 9th grade.

this might be kind of strange to ask but what did you wear to your interview? and what kind of questions did they ask?

i have my interview tomorrow

what grade are you applying to?
just dont look sloppy. I had a tour with another applicant and she wore semi baggy jeans and a big sweater. she didnt look neat and presentable.
but dont overdo it, do feel comfy.

they ask about your school life, like all your classes and how you're doing. its a nice little convo about yourself. just answer truthfully
they didnt ask my dad anything.

I wore hair ribbons and an English schooldress that I had just bought at Marks and Spencer. :D It was in august. Just be clean and presentable, as Msu said.
They had me fill out a form with my interests and data about my family, and asked me about those, primarily. They also, of course, asked why I wanted to come to boarding school, and "Why Milton?" They asked my grandmother quite a few questions. I remember Milton as going quite well.

im applying for junior year sooo i know its hard competition

how was the tour around campus?

Msu where r u originally from? ur applying for boarding correct?

The tour was really neat; the campus is beautiful. However, there weren't any students there, since it was summer, so I didn't get a terribly great feel of the school environment.

I think Milton is a wonderful school BUT your experiences there would be very different than a typical (if there is such a thing!) New England boarding school. Milton is a pre-K through high school academy. The high school has 50% boarding ( you need to check this number because there was a push in the past few years to increase the number of boarding students and at least two new dorms were built). There is a lot of daily hub bub with the lower schools and high school day students coming and going. Many of the high school students have been at Milton since they were tots - not very many but enough who will already have strong ties with each other.
It is a superior school academically with terrific opportunities. You just need to look at it very carefully and make sure that you will be comfortable there.

im from nj and yes im applying.
tour was good, it went by quickly.

remember not to brag too much

i had my interview yesterday and it was great

i loved how everyone on campus seemed so tight-knit

they even paired me up with a girl to show me around campus who runs cross country like myself and only starting going there her junior year as well.

everyone seemed really nice and down to earth.

i love the set up of their stage as well and their dance rooms were perfect!

what did you talk about in your interview?
did she seem to like you?
