Minor error, worth emailing?

I just submitted and locked in my Common App.

After reviewing it numerous times with multiple people, something slipped by :(

Under activities I previously had Mathletes (labeled as Science/Math) as an activity but then changed it to National Honor Society (because I am president, and honestly the time spent there means a whole lot more to me). I changed the hours, the details and accomplishments, but forgot to change the label.

Now in my locked, unchangeable app it says (Science/Math - National Honor Society (President)).

I initially freaked since I wanted my app to be as perfect as possible, but then calmed down and realized it's somewhat of an insignificant error.

My question is, do the admissions readers focus enough to catch such a small error like this? more importantly would they care?

The reason I ask is, if they would catch it, and would care, I want to email/call them all and address it on my own terms.

Thanks ahead for the input,
Kevin

I made an error on my common app not too long ago as well.

I accidentally set my dad’s birthplace to Afghanistan…when it was really supposed to be South Korea. Woops.

Anywho, I freaked out and rushed into my Guidance Counselor’s office the next day, blubbering like an idiot, and she told me that it wasn’t that big of a deal, but that I should email the colleges and tell them about the mistake, so that they wouldn’t assume I was lying. She also told me that people came to her in tears every year because of common app mistakes and that the colleges that those people emailed would email back a while later saying things along the lines of “Thanks for telling us, don’t worry about it.”

c: hope this helped.
