<p>So far I have taken both the SAT and the ACT, and I've received 10's on both essays. I know that there is nothing wrong with that score, but I'm a little frustrated. I'd like to bring it up to an 11 or a 12. After four graders gave me a score of a 5, I know I deserved that, but Im struggling to figure out how to improve my essays that little bit to earn the extra point. I've found a lot of essay writing guides, but nothing on those top end score improvements. Any tips?</p>
<p>I got a 12 on the Jan SAT essay, my first SAT, the key for me was to fill up the 2 pages, and the examples I used were Gandhi, Heifetz, and Kobe Bryant!</p>

<p>Without seeing a sample of your writing, it’s hard to tell what you can do to improve it. Generally a 5 will have a few more writing errors, and the development of the topic will fall short in one paragraph or another.</p>
