Hi, I'm in seas and I was wondering if it is possible to minor in business while majoing in Engineering. Anyone who had any contact with the Bus. Dept. at Columbia, please post. Thanks

Columbia has no undergraduate business program. But in SEAS, there basically is a business major--it's called Operations Research.

What is Engineering Management Systems?
Engineering Management Systems is a field that emphasizes both technology and management perspectives in solving problems, making decisions, and managing risks in complex systems. It provides a rigorous exposure to deterministic optimization and stochastic modeling, a basic coverage of applications in the areas of operations engineering and management, and an in-depth coverage of applications in the areas of the selected concentration. Graduates from this program are expected to assume positions as business analysts in logistics, supply chain, revenue management, and consulting firms, and as financial analysts in risk management departments of investment banks, hedge funds, and credit card and insurance firms.

Is this available as a minor/conc for CC students? What are the options

invictus, EMS i don' think is available for CC students although CC majors are available for SEAS students as minors

As a CC student, you can do an economics-operations research major. You can also do econ-math, and take some operations research classes to satisfy the math electives.
