minor in "environmental studies" or "law & society" w/ env. engineering?

I am studying Environmental Engineering at Michigan Technological University. With the aid of AP credit, I'm looking at some minor options. I have decided that a minor in policy and politics will be a good fit with my major, better than a minor in geological engineering or bioprocess engineering (two minors I have deeply considered) but correct me if I'm wrong.

Assuming I DO have the right idea in pursuing law, which minor would be more appropriate? I think Law & Society looks better on paper because it shows that I obviously hold a minor in such a subject. I just feel like "environmental studies" does not have that same accompaniment. HOWEVER, when I look at the classes required for them, I find that Environmental Studies has a more specific curriculum for what I am looking for due to the fact it does not include general pre-law courses - it gets right to it - while sharing many of the same classes and also including many new and environmental relevant courses compared to Law & Society.

Which do you think will be more valuable to my major and my potential to gain a career?

Here are the course lists:
Environmental Studies:<a href="http://www.mtu.edu/registrar/students/major-degree/minors/audit/sciarts/201008/sses.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.mtu.edu/registrar/students/major-degree/minors/audit/sciarts/201008/sses.pdf</a>
Law & Society: <a href="http://www.mtu.edu/registrar/students/major-degree/minors/audit/sciarts/201008/ssls.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.mtu.edu/registrar/students/major-degree/minors/audit/sciarts/201008/ssls.pdf</a></p>

In other words, what do you think or what do you think employers will think when they compare these two minors? Or am I just incorrect in thinking that no one really knows what Environmental Studies is?

One more question (sorry!): When I apply for a job, will employers ask for my transcript and thus, a list of all of my courses? If so, that answers a lot of doubts since they will actually know what classes I took in Environmental Studies and how much more relevant the classes are to Law and Society.

Your employer isn’t going to care about a minor. Take whatever you are interested it.

Anyone else?

I agree that your employeer won’t care about your minor.

Assuming you have an interest in law, which you obnviously do if you are considering a minor in policy stuff, I would highly suggest that you pursue the law degree immediately after your undergrad.
