Minors for Managment Major...

I want to major in Managment and move out of the U.S by the time i'm 25. Preferably to Scotland or England. I thought of minoring in international business. Is this wise, has anyone out there done this?

Or should I drop Management and do something else.

What would you like to do, career wise, in Britain?

Work for a corporation or in service industries, like retail or restaurants.

People tell me I would stand a better chance majoring in economics and minoring in international bus.

Management and Economics is pretty interchangeable as they both deal with the qualitative side of business, whereas Accounting and Finance deal more with the quantified side. Additionally, Economics is a bit more abstract than Management, if that makes a difference.

What would you want to do with those companies? Operations? Finance? Creative/marketing?

Without knowing your specific situation, I generally would advice to take the most quantitative program you can. That is, if you’re good with numbers and want to get in on the fiance side, major in Finance. I say this because these are the most in-demand degrees in the business field and thus, are easier to get a job. Of course, they usually pay well too. If that’s not up your alley, either Economics or Management with IB minor is a good choice.

Numbers aren’t really my thing, Thank you for the input.
