Miracle Stories-Getting Accepted Under 3.0 GPA

Hi Guys,

I was just curious if any of you guys have been recently accepted to any of the UCs despite having a low GPA (< 3.0).
Why did you guys think you got accepted? Was it something you did outside of class? Oustanding essay? Great internship?

Please let me know! Especially if you have been accepted to any of these schools cause I plan to apply at the end of this fall:

-UC Berk (Berkeley)
-UCLA (Los Angeles)
-UCSD (San Diego)
-UCSB (Santa Barbara)
-UCD (Davis)
-UCI (Irvine)
-UCSC (Santa Cruz)

Got waitlisted to UCI and UCD with a 2.99 transfer GPA. 3.1 Major GPA. Was accepted off both waitlists but it was still cutting it extremely close. I believe the amount of EC I did with the community helped substantially as well as my personal statement.
