Hi, I'm new here and I have a couple questions about the MIS field (Management Information Systems)

Currently a junior in college majoring in accounting. I am doing pretty well in accounting but I have been losing interest. Recently I have been looking in to MIS. This has lead to me to very many different thoughts about MIS. Some people have told me MIS is a watered down version of CS and doesn't have enough technical skills making it difficult to find a job. On the other hand just looking at the statistics, they have pretty good starting salaries and job growth.

So my questions are

1) What are the job opportunities and growth with a MIS degree?
2) What is the situation with outsourcing and competition from other majors such as CS and computer engineering?
3) What kind of jobs can I be looking at with a MIS degree?

My school doesn't let Accounting students double major so that is not a choice for me.
