My name is spelled Laith in my SAT I and my college app and all papers/transcripts. but on my SAT II, my first name was mispelled as Leith, would that be a big deal?? ( all other info is correct, just my first name on that damn SAT II registration, and if i were to request a name change from collegeboard that would take too long and i wouldn't be able to meet my deadlines :S )
Thanks in advance

anyone ???

As long as college board reports all your SATs together (which they probably will do, if you gave the correct social security # on all) you are fine and this is no problem.

Can you look at the website for SATs and check that all are there? If not, then e-mail or call College Board and get it straightened out.

The problem is that they are both on separate accounts on collegeboard, SAT I on one and the SAT II on the other... Don't universities have a way of like cross referencing the things? because some people have told me that it's not a big deal if the first name is slightly misspelled

Did you request both accounts to send their SAT scores? In any case, I think as long as the two have the same social security number, you'll be all set. My situation was slightly different (changed legal name, but all my SATs were registered under old name), but that's what I was told when I called CollegeBoard.

Colleges collect all your information in one file. I spelled my last name differently on my standardized tests than on my application (Baer vs Bar) and only one school managed to match my scores to the rest of my application, even though I explicitly addressed that issue in the additional info section.
A slightly different spelling of your first name probably won't be too bad though.

well, i'm not American so no social security number for me :(
What to do :S ?

I can do one thing though... If i request my record to be straightened from collegeboard, then the universities will receive the report by like the 13th or 14th instead of the 7th and the deadline is 15th... Should i take that risk?

I think you should call your schools and ask which option they prefer.

Problem solved... i just got off the phone with the universities i'm applying to and they all suggested that I simply note it in the Additional Information section, and i should be fine... Thank for the help guys

you should be worried that you dont know how to spell "should"
