Miss the SAT II's this weekend? or attend? (already paid)

What happens if you opt not to take one of the SAT II’s but still want to take some of the other SAT II’s that you’ve signed up for to take in June??

( I am certain I will get a really good score in one … 800 is very likely… BUT.. the other one would be a 500/chem if I take it now…).. From the practice tests I took this week I’m not feeling too good.. especially because I only got a week of review with this prep book =-/.

NOTE: I haven’t taken any other test (no SAT I or SAT IIs… until this june.).. I’m wondering if … being sure I can bring that 500 to above 650 for sure… should I wait and take it then OR… take it now and improve my score later..? I’m going to take bio in nov. anyways.. and I was planning on taking math also.

I also wanted to give the ACT a shot.. if I take SAT I’s in oct, more SAT II’s on nov… and if I need to retake the SAT I’s I would do that dec… now would there be any time to take the ACT?

I really plan to study for these tests.. now that I see it’s possible to do well.. after looking at the practice tests.. its not that they are hard.. it’s just that I need more time to review some of this stuff.

THE ONLY reason.. I'm really considering taking it anyways.. is that I plan to apply for the boston full sholarship thing... now I am not even sure if they consider SAT II"s or not for it.. if they do then it would be pointless.. but if it's mainly just for admissions that they look at SAT II's.. then I would technically need to take both of my SAT'IIs this weekend since the deadline for that scholarship is dec and I might still have a shot at...

You only get scored on the one's you take. If you take the one you are confident about and then leave, you will only get one score on your report. It will be like you never signed up for the other test - no marking on your report or anything (but no refund either)

If your practice test scores are in the 500's for chem and you know you can raise them with more studying, I would recommend you wait and take the test later. Though colleges normally consider only your top 2/3 SAT II scores, when it comes to scholarships or the uber-competitive schools, I think that having that 500 score might hurt you (when compared to applicants who have all high SAT II scores). As for your scholarship, normally anything with a December deadline will accept November test scores.

Well the deadline is Dec. 1... when are the Nov tests usually administered...

I think I am going to skip on the chem since I know I can get a way better score if I wait.. (my counselor will just be mad though).

Well.. how exactly do I go about not taking the SAT II I dont want to take... I've never been through the process.. thanks.
