Missed literally most of the deadlines

I am international student and unfortunately I missed practically all the colleges with the deadlines till Feb 1st due to some personal and health problems (lets just say I barely made it to school on most days but now I am fine)

I am a high school senior with a Gpa 3.8+ (converted to USA scale) with a SAT score of 1840 ( Maths-740, Reading-570 -> attempted just once again due to my heath problems).

I have no idea how to process now and though I've applied to a couple of colleges that interest me but I am not satisfied.

My intended fields of study are Mechanical/Aerospace, Astronomy or Astrophysics.

So can some one please help me figure out what to do?

Thanks!!

I assume by you saying you’re not satisfied you would like to apply to top 50 etc., schools. Unortunately, all you can do is wait for the next admission cycle or attend one of the colleges you have applied to and then transfer. Some do still have rolling admissions. Best of luck. Don’t forget about financial aid.

You could try contacting the colleges whose deadlines you missed and explain your medical situation. It’s getting very close to the decision notification dates so do this today. If you had serious enough personal/health issues, they may allow you to apply now, though it seems unlikely since most are due to give their decisions to students in the next two weeks.
Another option is to apply to colleges with rolling admissions. I’ve seen lists of them on this board, do a search for “rolling admissions” or something and you should find quite a list. If you’re not satisfied with any of those schools, taking a gap year could be a good option for you to give you more time to recover, retake the SAT, and work on applications for next year.
Good luck! (:

There are many schools that offer rolling admissions that continue through late spring and even into summer if spots are available. You will have many options with large, state universities especially.

Unfortunately, if you need financial aid, you will likely have slim pickings at this point.

Best wishes on finding a fit.

There are scads of decent colleges and universities in the US that have rolling admissions, and that will still accept applications until some time in the summer. HOWEVER as an international applicant, that might not leave you with enough time to get all of the visa paperwork taken care of. Get in touch with the closest Advising Center of EducationUSA and ask the counselors for their advice. You may still have time, or you may need to wait until next year. https://www.educationusa.info/centers.php</a> When I lived outside the US, the counselors who I knew recommended that students allow 6 months between application (assuming that they would be admitted) and enrollment. You might make it, but you are cutting it very close.

Common App website has a search tool that lets you find all (Common App) schools still accepting applications.

Thanks for replying guys… I guess I am going to take a gap, I think I’d stand a better chance then.!
