Missing Application Information

I am applying regular decesion to Emory, but had to apply early because I was nominated for the Emory Scholar by my school.

My OPUS account says that I am missing my transcripts, my counsellor recommendation, and both sections to my Emory Scholar application, all of which my school sent in late October.

I have not talked to my counsellor yet, but I was wondering if there's a chance this may be just an administrative lag on Emory's part, or whether I should legitamately be concerned, or if anyone else is in a similar situation to me.

Thanks in advance for any response.

its probably a lag. does it say initiated on your list?

It's most likely that they haven't processed it yet, especially if you sent all those things in at once.

What's strange is that for me, everything is completed except for the Early Decision Agreement form. My counselor mailed in my transcript, her letter and the ED Agreement all together at once, and only the ED form is "Initiated".

Any suggestions.

Same issue for my daughter although she received an email from admissions today to advise the nomination form was missing from her school....go figure........

My daughter sent everything in on Monday, October 27, and we've heard nothing, by mail or email, that materials either have or haven't been received. In fact, she keeps getting emails from Emory inviting her to apply, etc., as if they have no idea that she already has!

She is applying RD, but was also nominated for the Emory Scholars program. When did you all send your materials in?

My daughter submitted common app on line and Emory supplements on Nov. 1, received letter from Emory early this week with OPUS sign on instructions, and we can see everything they have received and that for which they are still waiting. Apparently they have the transcripts, teacher recs and guidance recs from high school but not the nomination form and her scholar essay. Who knows where in Atlanta that might be laying...........best wishes.

At what point would you call the admissions office and inquire?

Hey everyone. For me, basically everything for Emory was "Completed" except for the ED Agreement Form ("Initiated"), which was strange because my counselor turned that in along with my transcript and her letter. I emailed the admissions office yesterday telling them this and they replied this morning saying they actually have my ED Agreement form and that it was just a mistake in the system. She also said they would try to fix it right away.

I think either this will get updated for you later or it mught just be a mistake like it was for me. In any case, you should email admissions asking them for help.

Hope that helped!

I emailed Emory admissions on Friday, noting that we had submitted all materials postmarked 10/27, but had no acknowledgment of their receipt, and the website said "initiated" for every item (except SAT scores, sent months ago!); they were very prompt in their response, saying that it was likely the application just hadn't been processed.

Today my daughter got a letter saying "Thank you for submitting your application." We'll go with that. Still, it's a bit odd to get written acknowledgment but have the website lag behind...
